ARMADILLO Project Officially Kicks Off in Athens!

The ARMADILLO project has officially launched with a successful two-day kick-off meeting, held on 3 and 4 of October, 2024 at the DIMOKRITOS premises in Athens, Greece. This pivotal gathering brought together project partners, experts, and stakeholders to set the foundation for this ambitious EU-funded initiative.

The ARMADILLO project is dedicated to developing innovative portable tools for GHB detection, significantly enhancing the capabilities of Law Enforcement Authorities (LEAs) and forensic institutes. Through cutting-edge technology, the project aims to revolutionize forensic investigations and contribute to public safety across Europe.

Over the course of two days, project partners engaged in dynamic presentations, insightful discussions, and strategic planning sessions, outlining the roadmap for ARMADILLO’s objectives and expected impact. The sessions focused on:

🔹 Key challenges and opportunities in GHB detection for law enforcement
🔹 Defining a collaborative approach among researchers, forensic experts, and security agencies
