ARMADILLO Participation at PRESERVE Workshop
The ARMADILLO project’s representatives participated in the First International Workshop on Civil Security & Proactive Threat Detection and Prevention by presenting the project.
This workshop was organized by PRESERVE project and was held at the Center for Security Studies (KEMEA) in Athens, Greece, conducted in a hybrid setting.

The main objective of the workshop was to leverage synergies between participating projects, stakeholders, and organizations in civil security and proactive threat detection and prevention.
At this workshop, many projects’ and organizations’ representatives, relevant to civil security as well as to proactive threat detection and prevention, were participated by presenting a short description of their project’s objectives or their contribution to civil security.

The ARMADILLO project’s objectives, its main technological targets, and its performance criteria were described and presented. Additionally, the project’s pilot use cases were mentioned to describe its validation campaigns. These pilot scenarios are:
- GHB detection in bodily fluids (urine and saliva)
- GHB detection in drinks and alcoholic beverages
- Risk-based Framework for Prevention and Deterrence of DFSA crimes
The project’s website, its social media links, and its Linktree were also mentioned in order every stakeholder to have project’s contact details. This is very important in order to leverage possible areas of collaboration on technical and dissemination level between ARMADILLO and other projects or organizations.
Finally, the organizers of the workshop proposed all the participating projects to:
- publish joined newsletters
- organize monthly meeting with participation of partners involved in dissemination to keep track of progress and future dissemination activities.
