ARMADILLO at the 2025 Project to Policy Seminar: Bridging Innovation and European Policy

Last week, the ARMADILLO project had the opportunity to participate at the Project to Policy Seminar 2025, an initiative hosted by the European Commission to strengthen the vital link between EU-funded research and policymaking.

Held over two days, the seminar brought together Horizon Europe project teams, policymakers, and key stakeholders from across the EU. It provided a dynamic forum for sharing research insights, aligning project outcomes with European policy priorities, and fostering cross-sector collaboration.

Shaping Policy Through Innovation

Representatives from Netcompany, NCSR Demokritos, and CENTRIC proudly showcased the ARMADILLO project, presenting how its cutting-edge digital tools and data-driven methodologies are advancing risk assessment, resilience, and decision-making in the EU.

Through practical use cases and technical insights, the team demonstrated how ARMADILLO contributes to enhancing civil protection and public safety, particularly in the context of digital infrastructure and crisis response. The project’s presence sparked valuable discussions around the potential of research-driven innovation to inform evidence-based policymaking, ensuring that forward-thinking solutions find their way into real-world impact.

Driving the Policy Dialogue Forward

The seminar highlighted the increasing importance of aligning scientific research with strategic EU goals, especially in areas such as security, resilience, and digital transformation. ARMADILLO's participation underscored the role of collaborative, multi-disciplinary projects in supporting this agenda.

As the ARMADILLO project continues to evolve, we remain committed to ensuring our research not only drives technological progress but also contributes meaningfully to shaping policies that benefit European citizens.
